🛠️ REBASE AND DENTURE REPAIRS

Understanding Denture Rebase

Rebasing is a procedure recommended when the **denture teeth** are still in good condition but the **denture base material** is not. It involves replacing the entire acrylic denture base (the pink material) to ensure a stable denture without needing new teeth.

A rebase is similar to a reline, but more comprehensive: a rebase replaces all the old pink acrylic denture base material, while a reline only replaces the inner lining that contacts the tissue.

Reasons a Rebase May Be Required

  • To repair a severely **broken or damaged denture**.
  • To restore a **weakened pink acrylic denture base** due to age or stress.
  • For the final adaptation or **replacement of an immediate denture** after the healing phase.

Denture Repairs

A variety of circumstances can lead to a fractured or damaged denture, and these issues should be addressed immediately. Repairs restore the appliance close to its original condition. Dr. Ghia, DDS, PA can often provide these urgent repair procedures on a **same-day basis**. Dr. Ghia will also advise you on how to prevent further breakage.
